About Us

Founded in October 1993 by a group of concerned citizens, we are a private non-profit supporting organization for the Connecticut Mental Health Center, a landmark partnership between the State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry.  We sponsor programs and public education and administer charitable funds that help adults in mental health and addiction recovery thrive in our community. The CMHC Foundation helps individuals served by the Connecticut Mental Health Center and the Community Services Network (CSN) for which CMHC is the lead agency.
