How much is our mental health worth? 

It’s worth a life for nearly 4,000 people who count on CMHC for their mental health, all of whom have little or no income or insurance.

Last year the CMHC Health Equity Work group surveyed clients for vulnerability in the following areas: food, transportation, rent, medication, and utilities. We learned that nearly 85% had a vulnerability in any of the areas and about 80% were food insecure.

Here at CMHC we know that high quality person-centered care is one factor among many that helps people lead a meaningful life.  The very best care must also address equitable access to healthy food, stable and safe housing, paid employment, and banking services.
