Rock to Rock 2016
January 19, 2016
Registration is officially open for the 8th annual Rock to Rock Earth Day Ride happening April 30th! It may be cold outside, but it’s not too early to join CMHC Cycles. We’re getting ready to ride!
The CMHC Cycles Team is gearing up for its third year of participation; because we believe a cleaner, greener city makes for GOOD environMENTAL HEALTH!
Every year over one thousand riders from the Greater New Haven community bike from West Rock to East Rock–and some even farther–with celebrations on either side of the city. Along the way riders eat tasty food, hear great music, take on environmental service projects, and explore our city’s parks and neighborhoods. Last year over 60 people rode on our CMHC Cycles team, and we hope to have even more riding in 2016.
This year, we are raising money for our CMHC Re-Cycles program which provides refurbished bikes and safety equipment to people in recovery served by CMHC. CMHC Re-Cycles had provided equipment to 15 people since launching in April 2015, and we can do more with your help!
We encourage every rider to set a goal of raising $100–the amount it takes to put a person on the road to independence and better health.
