Stories of Recovery

December 7, 2019

There are many kinds of stories and many storytellers.  Some heroic and epic; others intimate and personal.  Some magical and otherworldly; others depicting ordinary things and everyday life.  In his book The Storytelling Animal, Jonathan Gottschall says that stories make us human.  This year we invited members of our CMHC community to share very short stories, 50-word reflections on what recovery means to them.

In this year’s Annual Appeal, President Laura Goldblum and Director Kyle Pedersen, Executive Director, share three of these Recovery Shorts. Read the full Annual Appeal here.

Join us in creating more powerful stories of recovery today.
