Hands & Hearts Together

Hands to Heart is a painting created this year by clients and staff working together on the CMHC inpatient unit.  As described, “Each hand represents a unique individual reaching toward a shared heart, symbolizing connection, hope, and healing.”

Today we need all hands working together to strengthen our community in the face of threats to healthcare, rising food and housing insecurity, joblessness, and stigmatizing speech. These many pressures are magnified for the people we serve at CMHC who are already facing health and economic inequities.

As CMHC prepares to celebrate its 60^th anniversary in 2026, we share this image with you as an expression of our decades-long commitment to serve our community in the community with high quality person-centered care for those facing mental health and substance use challenges who have limited financial resources. We are excited to lean into the future with Dr. Charles Dike who was appointed CEO of CMHC and began on October 1, 2025.
